Between 2000 – 2004 the public water supply system was constructed in municipality Cucer Sandevo (Macedonia). Within the next phase of the project it was decided to provide the municipality with the proper wastewater disposal. Both project phases were implemented with the financial support from ADA (Austrian Development Agency).

• Within the first step the sewerage in length of approx. 8.000 m and corresponding house connections were constructed in villages Brazda, Gluvo and Mirkovci.
• In the next step a wastewater treatment plant consisting among others of mechanical pre-treatment, trickling filters and Imhoff tanks was constructed.
• Drying of sludge was sloved by drying sludge beds.
• The plant was in initial phase designed for 3.000 P.E., with the possibility for extension of the plant, if wastewater from other villages is discharged to the plant.
• In order to ensure the sustainable operation of the plant intensive training of the personnel was performed.
